These high strength U-joints are ideally suited for both on and off-hghway applications

Glass-reinforced thrust washer eliminates end galling, absorbs metallic debris and accommodates varying yoke dimensions while retaining rollers.
Superior bearing package includes innovative needle-retention design to ensure correct assembly even when parts are handled aggressively.

technologies to create the Meritor XTended Lube - MXL™ Driveline.

Features & Benefits
Lubrication intervals for both U-joints and slip section extended to 100,000 miles for linehaul applications reduces operating and maintenance costs.
Field proven internally mounted advanced nitrile seal design ensures lubrication is protected from contaminants and prevents water intrusion.
Seal shroud incorporated from RPL design improves sealing characteristics and retains seals securely in place.
Incorporates and builds upon the proven RN series U-joint design with RPL premium sealing technology.
U-joints are equipped with triple-lip seals to keep lubrication in and contaminants out for longer life.
Sealed bearing with integral deflector shield and grease barrier protects the bearing against contamination without the use of external deflectors.
Corrosion resistant seal guard protects and secures advanced slip seal improving durability over "booted" designs.

RPL Permalube™ Universal Joints


RPL Permalube™ Universal Joints

The RPL Permalube™ u-joint offers a high-strength, compact design plus simple, bolt-together assembly for the ultimate "easy service" design. U-joint disassembly is not required to assemble the u-joint into the end-yoke or to remove the driveline from the vehicle.

Triple-lip seal design keeps lubrication in and contaminants out for longer life.
Superior bearing package with large diameter, precision-tolerance needle bearing provides optimum bearing alignment and maximizes performance.
Permanently greased with specially-formulated wear- and temperature-resistant grease to keep bearings thoroughly lubricated for life.
Permanently assembled with steel straps to locate the bearing cups to precise dimensions – ensures an optimum fit of the u-joint into the mating yokes.
Two independent nylon thrust washers allow relative motion between the needle bearings and trunnion to minimize wear and extend life.
Patented snap ring retention provides a secure, proven method for positioning u-joints.
